Account & settings¶
Your settings are split into two places, depending on whether they affect you or affect a whole group.
- User settings — your personal account and preferences. Open them from your name/avatar at the bottom of the sidebar.
- Guild settings — settings for a whole workspace, available to guild administrators. Covered under Working with guilds.
- Platform settings — server-wide configuration, for the server's owner. Covered in the administrator guide.
This section is about your settings.

Importing from another tool¶
Switching from another app? Initiative can import tasks from several popular tools. Open User settings → Import and follow the wizard:
- Upload your export file from the other tool.
- Configure which list/board to bring in and pick the target project.
- Map statuses so the other tool's columns line up with yours.
- Review the results.
Supported sources include Todoist, TickTick, Trello, Asana, and Vikunja. Subtasks come across too, and anything that can't be matched is reported so nothing disappears silently.
