Getting started

Welcome! This section gets you from "I've never used Initiative" to "I'm comfortable finding my way around." Take it in order, or jump to whatever you need.

What you'll need

  • A web browser on a computer, tablet, or phone. Initiative runs in the browser — there's nothing to install to get started.
  • The web address of your group's Initiative, or an invite link. Usually someone in your group (an administrator) sends you one. If you're setting up Initiative for your whole group yourself, see the administrator guide first.
  • (Optional) The mobile app for iOS or Android, if you'd like notifications on your phone.

The four steps

    Sign up with your email, or use your organization's single sign-on.

In a hurry?

If you already have an invite link, the fastest path is: open the link → create your account → you're in. The link drops you straight into the right group. Everything else in this section you can pick up as you go.
